Apathy, redefined

I’m all about grassroots efforts, and I truly believe that we are reading a tipping point, when a large enough group of people are going to arise to serve humanity and make a difference. The need for accompanying though is high all the more that, as Dave Meslin explains in a recent TED talk, there are obstacles to actively participating in community-building and community life. I do believe that most people in the world are good people, and that they do want to follow the guidance to: “not busy (themselves) in (their) own concerns” and to instead “let (their) thoughts be fixed upon that which will rehabilitate the fortunes of mankind and sanctify the hearts and souls of men”.
