A random thought to kick things off

I had an interesting conversation a couple of weeks ago. My friends and I were comparing living in ‘safe’ countries such as Canada and the States, where (usually) the law abides, versus living in countries that do not have such a strong societal law structure keeping its people safe.

It came to our attention that those countries seem to be exploding, as passionate people, wanting to better their living conditions, fight, sometimes with great violence, to create a better world, whereas ‘safe’ countries seems to be imploding, as bored people, not knowing that else to do, fight with their internal demons and get sucked into themselves more and more.

Granted this comparison is based on some pretty gross generalizations, but I found it interesting enough to jot down to share with you; and I would love to hear some of your thoughts on the subject.
