I wondered if, after the elections were over, SNL would go back to its less than wonderful pre-election self. Don’t get me wrong – I am a fan of the show and have been wishing for a comeback as much as the next fan. But I am also a realist, and I couldn’t help but wonder if the lack of a catalyst meant that we wouldn’t have skits as strong as the ones we have seen in the last couple of months. After all, Tina Fey doesn’t look like everyone out there, does she…

But this skit is laying my fears to rest. While I didn’t watch last week’s episode of SNL, I have been lucky enough that it’s still on YouTube and I encourage you to watch it ASAP before it’s taken off – especially if you’re not from the States and don’t have access to the official website.

In short, this clip is a parody of the making of Beyoncé’s new videoclip, ‘Single Ladies’, featuring Beyoncé and, as one of her ‘female’ backup dancers… Justin Timberlake. In heels and a leotard.

It’s so worth watching, just for JT. I don’t think many other actors would have been able to pull of the same line four times in a 5 minutes sketch and yet manage to make it hilarious each and every time he says it.
