While I do not wish to start a regular review of each LMOTP episode (yet…?), I was inspired to share the following exchange, which I found absolutely priceless.

On Episode 7 of Season 3, Fred Tupper (a local rather abrasive radio talk show host) and Fatema (the rather opinionated owner of Café Fatema) had a fight which included the following exchanges which I found priceless.

The fight started when Fatema noticed a cherry filling stain on Fred’s shirt collar, who admits he ‘cheated’ on Fatema by eating at another diner. The next day, Fred comes by with a box of chocolates.

Fatema: You thought cheap chocolate could make me forget?

Fred: No no no no no! These are expensive ones!

Fatema is leaning towards forgiveness when Fred has a major slip-up: not only did he have cherry pie at the other diner, he also had coffee. Fred is desperate to change the topic of the conversation.

Fred (trying to be funny): Try the chocolate. You never know what you’re going to get.

Fatema: Unless you read the lid.

Banned from Fatema’s Café and desperate for some good food, Fred tries to trick Fatema into delivering food to him by calling in an order using a fake accent.

Fatema: I know it’s you Fred.

Fred: Bad accent?

Fatema: Call display. Welcome to the 21st century.

Amazing show, fantastic episode. Take a look for yourself.
