Ballads, love songs, the swelling of the music, the catching of the singer’s voice… Awesomeness, wouldn’t you say?

Although I really like love songs, I have come to a couple of realizations. One of them is that popular love songs seem almost exclusively to be focused on romantic love; how weird is that, considering that the most universal type of love is that of a family, be it biological or otherwise? Why not have many more songs about one’s nuclear family, one’s extended family and, of course, the human family? What about one’s spiritual family, with God as the Father?

Which leads to this thought: what would a world where popular love songs are about the human family, at whatever level, look like?
