Happy Sunday! This blogger uses Sundays to plan and prepare for the upcoming week. I have been asked so many times about the resources that help me plan a full week that I decided to launch the “Planning the Week” feature with three concomitant components: a recommended book to make your commute easier; a healthy recipe to make your week tastier and healthier; and a planning/planner tip to keep it all running smoothly.
Granted, there are only three more weeks of winter left here in the Northern Hemisphere. But it doesn’t mean that it isn’t getting a little bit difficult, despite the increasing temperature and the longer days. This is usually the time I bring out some of the heartier recipes, the ones that are both healthy and have a little something-something to boost my energy and make me feel especially satisfied. A broccoli cheddar soup, like the one posted by Ellen last week, fits the bill perfectly–healthy and hearty what with its creamy texture. I also add some cayenne pepper to it and voilà! A perfect winter pick-me-up.
